Organisation audit helps an authorised reviewer trace activity for the selected organisation by operational category.

What this is

The Organisation Audit landing screen describes activity “for the selected organisation by operational category.” It presents category cards rather than one undifferentiated flat log:

  • Employee — employee master changes and employee-scoped activity (2 log tables).
  • Time & Attendance — leave policy, leave request, and timesheet activity (3 log tables).
  • Transactions — definition, employee assignment, and payroll snapshot activity (3 log tables).
  • Compliance — Payroll run pack usage for the selected organisation (1 organisation log table). Update history and Installed / available packs are workspace-scoped logs (2 workspace log tables).
  • Payroll — run lifecycle, preparation drafts, and payroll-period activity (3 log tables).
  • Documents — generated document, export, and proof-bundle activity (3 log tables).

Use Workspace audit → Compliance for statutory pack update and installation history. Use Organisation Audit → Compliance → Payroll run pack usage to identify the pack and engine attached to a particular run. These are different evidence scopes.

When to use it

Use the audit landing page to choose the operational area involved in an investigation, then use the category’s log table and filters to narrow the evidence.

Important boundaries

Audit events establish recorded activity; they do not prove that a payroll calculation, statutory interpretation, bank payment, or official submission was correct. Audit rows may contain employee, payroll, document, or identifier references, so apply least-privilege and retention controls.

Product navigation

Open Organisation Audit. The landing screen presents category cards, not a single flat “Audit Log” table.

What to check

Confirm the organisation badge/context, category, selected log, period/date filters, actor, and row details. Keep workspace audit evidence separate from client organisation evidence in a bureau workspace.
