Onboard a company workspace
Create a local owner and one payroll organisation through the current first-run flow.
Steps2 sections
This path creates a local workspace owner and one payroll organisation. Have the company identity, contact details, pay frequency and pay-date rule, statutory records, an owner password, and a secure recovery-code location ready.
Steps
- Choose a new company workspace
From Welcome to Paydae, acknowledge Your payroll data stays local. At Choose how to start, select Create New Workspace. Then select I run payroll for my own company.
- Confirm local entitlement
At Establish the local entitlement state, use Local trial or an eligible existing local entitlement. Licence Verification is disabled in this release.
- Create the owner and protect recovery
Enter the workspace name and local owner credentials. At Master recovery code, save the code outside the computer and confirm that it was saved. The owner must complete recovery enrollment before workspace setup continues.
- Create the organisation
At Create the payroll organisation, capture the employer’s identity and statutory details from authoritative records. Review validation messages before continuing.
- Configure payroll and release
At Configure the pay schedule and defaults, set frequency, period and pay-date rules. The flow seeds the default transaction catalogue. At Confirm statutory payroll release, select a release covering the first service period.
- Choose backup setup and review
Select Configure automatic backups or Remind me later. Automatic setup captures folder, schedule, retention and password readiness; it does not create a manual backup file during onboarding. Review the readiness summary, then select Enter workspace.
After onboarding
Open Dashboard and My Organisation to resolve remaining setup or statutory issues. Add employees in Employees; the former onboarding employee pages now lead to backup setup. Check the selected organisation before creating a run. A completed onboarding flow is not an approval of statutory applicability or payroll calculations.
