The sign-in screen accepts the workspace owner’s or an active auditor’s local credentials for this device. A customer-portal account does not open the local payroll workspace.

Steps

  1. Sign in with local credentials

Enter the local account identity and password, then select Sign in. Confirm the workspace and selected organisation before opening payroll records.

  2. Use Windows Hello if enrolled

On a supported Windows 11 device, an enrolled workspace owner can select Sign in with Windows Hello and complete the Windows prompt. Auditor accounts use password sign-in.

  3. Recover the owner account if needed

Select Forgot the owner password? and follow the local recovery flow using the saved recovery code. An auditor who cannot sign in should contact the workspace owner.

Windows Hello is optional and local to the owner on this device. If it is unavailable, use the password; the owner recovery code remains a separate fallback. Do not share the owner credentials or recovery code with another user.

For setup and recovery details, see Local owner account, Windows Hello sign-in, and Recover owner access.
