Review and verify backup restore points
Check recorded backup files, their verification status, and readiness for recovery.
Check a restore point2 sections
Use Workspace Backup → Create Backup → Backup restore points to check which encrypted backup files Paydae has recorded. The list is local history, so a recorded point can become unavailable if its file is moved or deleted.
Check a restore point
- Check the type and status
Find the point by its Manual, Automatic, or Safety type and local creation time. Read its verification badge. A Missing badge means the recorded file is no longer at that location.
- Inspect the file location
Expand File details to see the filename and full local path. Confirm that the intended file is present and that your organisation can still access its password.
- Check the recovery path
If you need a validation review, select Restore on the point, enter its password, and use Unlock and review. Review the prepared workspace and compatibility result. Do not select Confirm and restore or Confirm and replace workspace unless you intend to apply the restore.
- Retain usable copies
Keep the encrypted file and its password according to your retention procedure. Automatic retention removes only eligible automatic points; manual and safety points are not removed by that policy.
What the status proves
A successful creation result says Paydae created and verified the file at that time. It does not guarantee that a later file move, deletion, storage failure, forgotten password, or app compatibility change will leave it restorable. Review important points periodically and complete a controlled restore rehearsal under your organisation’s recovery procedure.
If a point is Missing, locate the original file or create a fresh backup from a healthy workspace. A filename or history row alone is not a usable restore point.
