NSSA overview
Understand how Paydae presents NSSA contribution calculations and P4 preparation for review.
Distinguish the schemes3 sections
Paydae calculates NSSA amounts using the applicable signed pack and the employer and employee facts recorded for payroll. The employer remains responsible for confirming scheme coverage, NSSA registration, contribution data, payment, and official receipt.
Distinguish the schemes
Pension and Other Benefits Scheme (POBS) has employee and employer contributions on insurable earnings, subject to the applicable ceiling and coverage rules. Accident Prevention and Workers’ Compensation (APWCS) is an employer premium determined by registered industry and assessed-rate evidence. Do not present the APWCS premium as an employee deduction. NSSA publishes the applicable scheme guidance and updates its rates and ceilings; review the period-specific official material and pack. See NSSA contributions and NSSA schemes.
Maintain the source facts
Check the organisation’s NSSA employer number, APWCS applicability and classification, and any required rate evidence. Check each employee’s identity, NSSA number, employment dates, and scheme coverage. NSSA registration, changed employment, and ceased employment can require separate portal actions; a Paydae employee record alone does not complete them. See NSSA registration guidance.
Review the monthly result
Review finalised employee and employer contribution lines, coverage warnings, and APWCS employer liability. In Documents → Statutory Filings, select the NSSA Contribution month, inspect the discovered finalised source runs and skipped employees, and generate the contribution-data XLSX when validation allows it.
NSSA says the monthly P4 form is accessed and filed through its employer self-service portal. It also identifies P4A remittance advice and other registration or wage-declaration records as separate. Confirm the authority’s current requirements before using the Paydae data. A generated XLSX is not proof of P4 filing or payment. See NSSA contributions and forms.
