Statutory pack installation and update activity belongs to the workspace. A payroll run’s pack usage belongs to its organisation. Review both scopes when investigating which rules were available and which were used.

Steps

  1. Find workspace history

Open Workspace audit → Compliance. Use Update history for update checks, receipts, failures, installs, and activations. Use Installed / available packs for signing, compatibility, and status details.

  2. Find the run's reference

Open Organisation Audit → Compliance → Payroll run pack usage for the selected organisation. Filter by payroll run ID or search for the pack, version, engine, or build.

  3. Correlate the evidence

Compare pack identity, version, hash, engine/build, and relevant timestamps. A pack being installed or available does not by itself prove that a particular run used it.

  4. Record the review

Preserve the event references and the run reference with the correct workspace and organisation context. Review the payroll calculation separately before drawing a conclusion about correctness.

If a log is empty, check the audit scope, active organisation, selected table, date range, and filters before concluding there was no activity.
