Transactions available in a pay run
Choose the right pay-run item and understand the inputs it asks for.
Cash earnings and settlement items3 sections
Use Add transaction on an included employee in Hours & Earnings to enter a value for the current draft. The picker shows definitions eligible for this organisation, payroll date, run purpose, and employee. A published custom definition can also appear. The selected item’s form is the authority for its required fields; the table below describes the Zimbabwe controlled catalogue, not a promise that every item appears in every run.
Employee-master transactions already resolved from the employee record appear as read-only rows. Maintain recurring inputs on the employee profile. The payroll engine generates statutory lines during preview; do not enter PAYE, NSSA, or another calculated result as a manual transaction.

These are the controlled items classified for pay-run entry in the current Zimbabwe catalogue. Other controlled items belong to employee-master records or are generated results. The picker may narrow the list further. Custom earnings, deductions, reimbursements, benefits, and employer contributions use the published definition’s amount model and calculation fields: amount, units and rate, quantity, percentage and basis, currency, reference, or other required facts can vary.
Check an item before saving
Open the item’s information or explanation in the picker. Confirm its entry location, category, availability, value model, and any evidence required for its tax treatment. Enter the displayed required fields, add an optional pay-run note where useful, and select Add transaction. Then Save progress and run a fresh Preview payroll. Check the employee result and transaction list before finalising.
For a recurring value, use Assign a transaction to an employee. For a one-time entry procedure, use Add once-off transactions.
