Open a published definition from Transactions → Custom transactions to review its version history and available actions. Published, retired and superseded versions are read-only.

Create a successor

  1. Review the published version

Confirm the organisation, code, current version, effective dates, assignments and payroll treatment.

  2. Create and review the draft

Select Create successor draft. Make the authorised changes, save the draft and review its calculation preview and effective-date boundary.

  3. Publish the successor

Complete the publication review and confirm that the intended version is available for new payroll work. Existing payroll evidence retains its captured version.

Retire a custom transaction

Select Retire on the published definition, choose Effective through and enter a required Reason, then select Retire transaction. Past retirement dates cannot be selected. The transaction remains selectable through the chosen date and becomes unavailable for new selection the following day. Historical payroll evidence is preserved.
