A proof bundle is a ZIP evidence package for a finalised payroll run. It links selected generated documents and their hashes with payroll and audit context so a reviewer can trace the source of the package.
Where to find it
Open Documents → Custom Reports & Proof → Report Catalog & Studio and select Comprehensive Audit Proof Package (.ZIP). Generated packages appear in Generated Reports Archive. There is no separate Proof Bundles page in the current Documents navigation.
What the package represents
The package contains a manifest that identifies its source documents and recorded hashes, run context, and available statutory and audit references. Its contents depend on the selected run and documents. Review the preview and generated package before relying on it as evidence.
A proof package does not recalculate payroll, back up the workspace, submit statutory returns, or confirm acceptance by an authority.
Before you create one
- Select a Finalised run in the builder.
- Generate the documents that belong in the package and confirm their hashes are recorded.
- Select only the relevant source documents. The current builder accepts up to 200 stored documents from the run.
- Resolve displayed source, pack, snapshot, or missing-hash issues.
Reviewing a generated package
Open its record in Generated Reports Archive. Confirm run, generation time, document selection, format, and available manifest evidence. If you need a separate ZIP file, save it locally and verify the destination in Local Export Log. An earlier package retains the evidence it was generated with, even when new source documents are produced later.
Common problems
The proof template cannot generate
complete the finalised run and document selection, then review the backend preview.
A source has no recorded hash
The ZIP was generated but is absent from the destination
check the save result and Local Export Log.
