Paydae can generate and store local PAYE working files. Official submission happens through TaRMS using the employer’s authorised access. Record the external result against the correct action in Calendar → PAYE work.

Steps

  1. Select the PAYE action

Open the employer PAYE period and select the relevant FDS earnings upload, Non-FDS earnings upload, or Consolidated PAYE return action.

  2. Review the source and file

Review the current Payroll coverage capture and generated files. Confirm employer registration, reporting period, currency, employee population, and totals against the TaRMS requirements.

  3. Complete the official action

Submit through the official channel. Keep the actual portal acknowledgement, rejection, or receipt with its external date and reference.

  4. Record the external evidence

In Evidence & filing, select a stored employer document or import an allowed PDF, PNG, or JPEG source. Then record the appropriate filing evidence and its external reference. Selecting or importing a file alone does not mark an action complete.

  5. Review the evidence history

Review the evidence history, trust and review status, source lineage, and any remaining blockers. A locally entered status claim is not authority confirmation.

Distinguish the records

A generated XLSX shows what Paydae prepared. A portal acknowledgement or receipt shows what the authority reported. A payment has its own bank and allocation evidence. Keep these separate, including when an upload was rejected or superseded.

ZIMRA describes separate FDS and Non-FDS employee uploads and one consolidated PAYE return for a tax period. The Paydae P2 report can still be useful internally for review; its name does not make it the TaRMS return.
