Use Time Tracking → Import timesheets to prepare one draft timesheet per employee and week. Import does not submit or approve those drafts.

Steps

  1. Download a template

Choose Download template → Basic CSV or Basic XLSX. Confirm the active organisation and its employees before filling the file.

  2. Upload the file

Drop or browse for the matching CSV or XLSX. The panel displays its row and file-size limits. CSV is parsed locally; XLSX is profiled by the local runtime.

  3. Review mappings and rows

Check employee, Monday week start, activity, type, and hours. Correct mapped cells in the review grid when offered. Read every blocking error and the count of prepared drafts.

  4. Check existing timesheets

The importer blocks a group when an employee/week timesheet already exists. It checks again immediately before saving, so a record added during review can stop that group.

  5. Import and review drafts

Select Import timesheets when the panel is ready. Check the result and refresh the list. If some drafts were saved before an error, keep them and resolve the remaining rows before retrying. Submit and approve the saved drafts separately.

Before payroll

Open each imported entry and check hours, variance, classification, and status. A successful import is an intake result; only the subsequent timesheet and pay-run reviews establish the approved payroll inputs.

For blocked rows, see Time import issue.
