Open Documents to prepare payroll files, inspect generated records, and save copies locally. Generating a document does not recalculate payroll. Saving a file does not submit it to a bank or statutory authority.

Before you begin

Confirm the active organisation. Payslips, bank exports, operational reports, and proof packages require a finalised run selected in their own workflow. Statutory outputs ask for the relevant month, effective date, employees, or an explicitly selected payroll-run extract. P2 and P16 resolve source payroll from their reporting criteria.

Find and use an output

  1. Open the relevant area

Choose the output type from Documents. There is no single period selector for the whole workspace.

  2. Set its scope and review readiness

Select the run or enter the output’s own criteria. Review validation and resolve displayed issues before generating.

  3. Generate and inspect the record

Check its scope, status, timestamp, format, and preview or details. A preview alone is not a generated file.

  4. Save a copy when needed

Use the output’s local save action and verify the destination. Review Local Export Log for a recorded write.

Important boundaries

Generated documents are held in the organisation’s local workspace. Explicitly saving, backing up, or sharing a file changes where a copy exists. A statutory file is preparation evidence, not an authority receipt. A bank export is an instruction file, not an executed payment. A proof package is review evidence, not a regulator submission.
