Select the NSSA industrial classification
Choose the organisation's registered NSSA industrial code and review the APWCS rate resolved from its statutory pack.
Before you begin3 sections
When APWCS applicability is Applies, select the organisation’s registered NSSA industrial classification code. Paydae uses that code and the effective date to display the APWCS contribution rate from the organisation’s active statutory pack.
The NSSA code is separate from the general Industry field in Business identity. Use the organisation’s registration evidence to identify the code; do not choose one because its rate looks preferable.
Before you begin
- Select the correct organisation and confirm whether APWCS applies to it.
- Have the registered NSSA classification and its supporting record available.
- Confirm the statutory pack covers the payroll date you are preparing.
Set the classification
- Open the statutory profile
Open My Organisation → Edit statutory profile and find APWCS applicability. Select the organisation’s supported decision. The classification control appears when the decision is Applies.
- Choose the registered NSSA code
In NSSA industrial classification code, select the code from the pack-provided choices. If you are registering a new organisation, save it first; the choices become available after the organisation is bound to a statutory pack.
- Review the pack rate
Read APWCS contribution rate and its pack and effective-date details. This rate is read-only and resolves from the chosen code. Do not enter an estimated rate in another field.
- Save and check readiness
Save the profile, return to My Organisation, and recheck Setup Action Center for the intended payroll date. Resolve any remaining APWCS or pack action before preparing the run.
If the code or rate is unavailable
- Choices are unavailable during registration: save the organisation first, then reopen its statutory profile.
- No active APWCS pack or choices: review the workspace default and its effective-date coverage in Workspace Settings → Statutory Packs.
- A saved code is unsupported: choose the supported registered code or resolve the pack mapping. Do not silently substitute a different industry.
- No rate mapping for the selected code: check the code, pack and effective date. The rate cannot be typed into the read-only field.
- A loading error appears: retry the pack-backed control and follow its displayed message if it remains unavailable.
Changing classification can change the employer APWCS liability. Review a fresh payroll preview and any affected draft after correcting it. See Configure your organisation’s statutory profile, Understand payroll and statutory readiness, and Review a workspace statutory pack.
