Use Calendar → Needs attention to track PAYE work for the active employer. A period keeps the FDS and Non-FDS uploads, consolidated return, and payment as separate actions. Tracking a period does not file or pay PAYE.

Start tracking

  1. Confirm the employer account

Confirm the active organisation and PAYE account. Open Calendar and review Needs attention.

  2. Track the period

If no period is tracked, open PAYE setup. Use Add a PAYE period to enter the employer account reference, start and end dates, and reporting-period note. Alternatively, use Check a date range to evaluate bounded period starts using available rules.

  3. Review the action cards

Open the resulting period. Review its account, reporting basis, separate action cards, open blockers, and source evaluation.

  4. Check legal and internal dates

In Dates & action, check each action’s recorded legal due date and any internal target. Use source-backed deadline revision controls only with verified authority evidence. An internal target does not change a legal deadline.

  5. Work through the cycle tabs

Continue with Payroll coverage, Evidence & filing, and Liability & payment. Review Corrections and History when prior evidence changes.

What an empty queue means

An empty Needs attention list does not establish that every period was identified, evaluated, filed, or paid. Check the employer account, filters, evaluated range, and Calendar view. A period can be locally complete while authority confirmation is still outstanding.

Deadline source

Check the applicable ZIMRA notice and TaRMS account for the period. Record the source and actual date in Paydae; do not infer a filing date from a previous year or treat an internal target as law.
