Paydae Desktop is a locally installed payroll workspace. Its desktop shell and bundled local application host keep employee records, calculations, reports, and audit evidence on the computer unless an explicit workflow exports, backs up or shares information.

Workspace and organisation

A workspace holds the local owner, access settings, licence state and one or more payroll organisations. An organisation holds its employees, statutory profile, payroll setup, runs, generated documents and organisation audit activity. A company workspace focuses on one employer; a bureau workspace can hold separate clients. Keep each client’s evidence in its own organisation.

First-run path

From Welcome to Paydae, read the local data notice and choose to create a workspace or restore one from an encrypted backup. New-workspace setup then asks for company or bureau mode, local entitlement, owner and recovery setup, organisation or bureau details, pay schedule, statutory payroll release, backup choice and final review. Restore has a separate validation and prerequisite flow.

A bureau can finish onboarding without a client. Add or select a client before opening its payroll modules. The dashboard can link to setup and payroll actions after onboarding.

Boundaries

  • A local desktop account is separate from a customer-portal account. Vendor support is not automatically a payroll user.
  • A licence or trial controls operation and limits; it does not validate legal identity, statutory details or calculations.
  • Paydae prepares records and outputs. The organisation must review them and complete official submissions and payments through the required channels.
  • Protect owner access, recovery code, backups, exported files and the device itself.
