NSSA P4 output
Validate and generate the NSSA P4 contribution workbook for a finalised payroll run.
Before you begin3 sections
Use Documents → Statutory Filings → NSSA P4 contribution upload to prepare contribution data for a Contribution month. The monthly output can draw from multiple finalised source runs. The generated XLSX is not itself a certified NSSA portal P4 form.
Before you begin
Confirm the organisation’s NSSA registration and relevant scheme applicability, employee NSSA details and coverage, and finalised payroll sources for the month. Review POBS employee and employer contributions separately from APWCS employer premiums.
Steps
- Choose the contribution month
Open the NSSA P4 row and choose the Contribution month.
- Review monthly validation
Review the validation preview: source-run list, covered and skipped employees, contribution basis and totals, currency, warnings, and blockers.
- Resolve blockers
Resolve missing employer or employee facts and incomplete or ambiguous monthly source coverage. A currency combination the template cannot represent can block generation.
- Generate and save
Use Generate monthly P4 when validation allows it. Check the generated month and file history, then Save generated file locally.
- Complete NSSA activity
Compare the data with the current NSSA self-service P4 requirements and complete the required portal filing and payment. Retain the portal acknowledgement, P4A or other remittance evidence, and any employee registration or cessation action separately.
What to check
A generated file is local contribution evidence. NSSA says its P4 is accessed and filed through the employer self-service account. Verify the official format, period, covered employees, and contribution totals before using the data. NSSA contributions and forms.
