Use the dashboard to identify the next action, then complete it in the linked module. A dashboard issue is a status projection; the underlying record determines whether the work is resolved.

Steps

  1. Confirm the workspace and client

In a bureau workspace, review Workspace actions required and Organisations requiring attention. Open the relevant organisation action and confirm the selected client in the shell. In a company workspace, open Dashboard directly.

  2. Complete unfinished setup

In Finish setting up your payroll, inspect the organisation, employees, and pay-run setup cards. Follow each available action to its owning screen. You can complete these prerequisites independently. Dismiss setup helper hides the cards for this organisation; Show setup steps brings them back. Dismissal does not complete setup.

  3. Resolve listed issues

Open Identified Issues Requiring Resolution. Review severity, Blocks payroll, affected record, owner, and due date where shown. Select the issue action and correct the underlying record. Use View all issues when the list is shortened.

  4. Continue active payroll work

Under Active Pay Runs & Operational Actions, use Review pay runs for ready runs or Continue draft for a draft. Review the run in Payroll before finalising or changing it.

  5. Refresh and confirm the result

Return to Dashboard and select Refresh. Confirm the setup progress, issue count, and run state from a fresh snapshot. If refresh fails or the bureau attention list is incomplete, retry before treating the state as clear.

Access and context

Read-only sessions show status but disable record-changing actions. A bureau action may select another organisation before navigation; confirm the client after it opens. If an issue lacks a usable route, open its owning module directly and use the issue’s record details to locate it.

An all-clear state means the current dashboard snapshot reports verified setup and no open issues or active runs. It does not replace review of external obligations or the next scheduled payroll.
